Ziplist+Cafe Johnsonia

You guys.  I finally finished updating all of my archives with the Ziplist "Save Recipe" button.  Pat on the back, I think.  Why should you care?  Should you care?

Oh, yes.  Yes, you should.

I've partnered with Ziplist, along with many of my favorite fellow food bloggers to bring you an easy way to save recipes and create shopping lists based off the of recipes you see on this blog.  Wanna know the best part?  You can use the same recipe box for any of the blogs using Ziplist.  Awesome.  And you're welcome. :)

Here's how Ziplist works....

First you need to click on the "Save Recipe" button below the title of each recipe on this blog.

This is what will come up on your screen.  Create a free account, or login, if you already have one.

Once you're all signed in, you can add it to your Recipe Box or add it to your Shopping List.

Click on Recipe Box.

This is the screen you'll go to:

It will show the other recipes in your Recipe Box.

You can also click over to your Shopping List and this is what you'll see.  You can check off items or remove them if you already have it on hand.

If you just want to visit your Recipe Box or Shopping List, you can get there via my sidebar, or by going to Ziplist.com.

Once you've signed up for one blog using Ziplist, you can use save recipes all over the place.  Over on Ziplist.com you can find a list of Ziplist's Food Blogger Partners--there's a bunch.  Including my local food blogger buds--Kalyn's Kitchen, Taste and Tell, The Vintage Mixer, Barbara Bakes, Cookin' Canuck,Two Peas and Their Pod.

I saw Almond Joy Cupcakes on Deborah's blog, Taste and Tell.  I wanted to add it to my recipe box, so I popped over from my reader and clicked on her Save Recipe button.  It took me to her personalized page.

It took me to her personalized page, but it's still my own Recipe Box.  I can filter recipes by blog.  So great, right?

It's been added to my list and it's easy enough for me to pick which recipes I want to include in my shopping list.
Just take your smart phone with you when you grocery shop and you can check off your items as you go.  So great, right?
